STAGE: 2024 - the investment rate increased 1.7 times.
The capacity of future production facilities will be 3,500 tonnes of ammonia per day (or 1.226 million tonnes per year) and 4,200 tonnes of granulated carbamide per day (or 1.422 million tonnes per year). It is also planned to commission production of liquid carbon dioxide (50,000 tonnes per year) and granulated ammonium sulphate (250,000 tonnes per year). More than 600 jobs are expected to be generated. The new production facilities are scheduled to be commissioned in 2032.
Methanol and nitrogen fertiliser production plant
REGION: Nakhodka city, Russia
COMPANY (OPERATOR / INITIATOR): Nakhodka Mineral Fertiliser Plant
INVESTMENT: $4.5 billion
DATES: 2025 (reaching the design capacity of Phase I of the project - methanol)
STAGE: 2024 - NZMU completes preparations for installation of plant equipment.
The ground works phase, when the foundation of the plant was laid, began in July 2024.
Nakhodka Mineral Fertiliser Plant JSC is executing a project to build a large modern complex for the production of methanol and nitrogen fertilisers in the Nakhodka Urban District of Primorsky Krai. The plant plans to produce 1.8 million tonnes of methanol (Phase 1) and 3 million tonnes of carbamide (Phase 2) annually. The plant's cash costs per tonne are among the lowest in the world. The project is supported by Russian state-owned banks, local authorities and the federal government.

Modernisation of workshops
REGION: Grodno city, Belarus
COMPANY (OPERATOR / INITIATOR): Grodno Azot
INVESTMENT: $270 million
STAGE: 2024 - reconstruction of Ammonia-4 shop. Total investments in the project will amount to 1.5 billion RUB.
Modernisation of Ammoni-3 and Ammoni-4 shops at Grodno Azot will increase production volumes to 2,100 tonnes per day. Increasing the capacity of both shops provides for an increase of more than 313,000 tonnes per year of commercial ammonia, which in the future can be processed into other mineral fertilisers. This will make it possible to produce an additional 288,000 tonnes per year in active substance to the existing volume of mineral fertilisers. About $270 million will be needed to modernise the workshops. This will be done using the company's funds and internal credit resources.

Ammonia and carbamide complex
REGION: Seaport Aktau SEZ, Mangistau region, Kazakhstan
COMPANY (OPERATOR / INITIATOR): KazAzot Prime LLP
INVESTMENT: $1 billion
DATES: 2029
KazAzot will invest about $1 billion in the construction of an ammonia and carbamide complex in the special economic zone of Aktau Seaport in the Mangistau region. KazAzot currently produces 400,000 tonnes of ammonium nitrate per year. Once the new facilities are commissioned, the company will become the largest fertiliser production complex in Kazakhstan. Total output, including carbamide and ammonium nitrate, will be about 1.5 million tonnes per year, which will fully meet the needs of domestic agricultural and industrial companies for high-quality nitrogen fertilisers. The realisation of this project will generate new jobs in the region. During the construction of the plant, 1,500 temporary workers will be employed. After the project is completed, 700 permanent jobs are planned.
